Taylor Swift got all dolled up to go to the market.
The singer seemed to be in a faraway mood as she pushed her own trolleyful of groceries wearing just the faintest trace of a red lipstick smile.
And, reminiscent of a scene from the 1975 cult classic The Stepford Wives, Taylor was neat and immaculately attired in a prim white blouse and a grey skirt that flared to just above her slender knees.
The 23-year-old Taylor has been on a swift pace, running from city to city while on tour to promote her 2012 blockbuster album Red.
No wonder she seemed in a daze as she emerged from Bristol Farms in Los Angeles solo and subdued, with her blonde hair pulled back in a simple ponytail.
Yellow leather oxfords and a small grey shoulder bag completed her feminine ensemble.
The pop star recently held the audience in Newark, New Jersey in awe by opening with her songs State Of Grace and Holy Ground and then following up with a personal confession, according to Billboard.
'I write songs a lot about my feelings. I'm told I have a lot of feelings,' Taylor said while explaining the album's theme.
Now with a little downtime, Taylor has time for even the simplest tasks such as buying food and other necessities.
On Sunday Taylor will be back on stage in front of a live audience and millions of TV viewers.
She is set to perform at the Academy Of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Taylor is up for this year's Entertainer Of The Year as well as Album Of The Year for Red.
The aspiring actress is also scheduled to make an appearance in Zooey Deschanel's television series New Girl, in the May 14 finale.
