Drenched: Heidi Klum got drenched as she filmed a commercial for hairspray in New York today

She was filming a commercial for hairspray, so the last thing Heidi Klum would have wanted was to get her hair wet.
But as the advertisement appeared to be aiming to prove that the product could withstand some kind of water contact, the 38-year-old supermodel did in fact get drenched today.
The mother-of-four was sprayed by a passing taxi as she filmed her new Schwarzkopf Taft Hair Spray commercial in New York City.
At first the German blonde looked impeccable, showing off her long toned legs in a navy blue trench coat and stilettos.
Her hair was coiffed to perfection and her face beautifully made-up.
But as the drama unfolded, Heidi was left looking a little bit more like a drowned rat.

However, she did take caution during filming for the commercial, by wearing plastic bags over her heels so they would not get ruined by the water.
Luckily the temperatures in New York are currently soaring so she wasn't left incredibly cold.
Heidi is usually seen taking her children to karate in Los Angeles most weekends, but this time the busy mother was in work mode.

However she is surely set to go home to them after her long day of filming.
Heidi's four children - Leni, Henry, Johan and Lou, whom she shares with ex-husband Seal are now very much experiencing the reality of life with parents on different continents.
Earlier this week the youngsters were seen being guided through Sydney International Airport by Seal - who is currently working Down Under as a judge on the Australian version of The Voice - and put on a plane with their nanny.

After their long-haul flight, the children were met at JFK Airport in New York by their supermodel mother, who is the host of Project Runway.
The children looked tired as they were led by their mother and nanny through arrivals.
At one point Heidi planted a kiss on her son Henry's head while clutching the hand of her oldest daughter Leni.

The two younger children were seen with their nanny, who was thought to be on the flight with them.
All four children enjoyed a holiday in Australia to visit their father while he is filming The Voice.
Just last week they were spotted clinging to their father's hands as he took them on a day trip to Sydney's Taronga Zoo.
Heidi and Seal's sudden split after seven years of marriage shocked the celebrity world when it was revealed at the beginning of this year.
The couple have four children; Leni, Henry, Johan and Lou. Formula One tycoon Flavio Briatore is Leni's biological father but plays no part the child's life and she was legally adopted by Seal in 2009.
