But just when everything was starting to look rosy, with a family trip away in LA, the poor footballer gets sun burnt.
You would think with umpteen holidays under his belt and a model wife Wayne wouldn't forget to maintain a strict holiday skin regime.
But he seems to have missed the ball as he was spotted with a rather crispy back in the pool. Luckily his wife Coleen was there to rub it all better as the bronzed mother-of-one smoothed it all better with some sun cream.
Wayne and Coleen were spotted sipping on rosé wine and beer as they kept cool in the water.

Coleen showed off her trim figure in a snakeskin bikini and pulled her hair into a tight bun atop her head.
Fair-skinned Wayne was sun-safe in a New York Yankees cap.

Incredibly, it seems Coleen at least is less familiar with the area than one would imagine.

The pair were also seen catching up with the Ashley and Shaun Wright-Phillips as the group made the most of the sunshine.

Wayne, who had been enjoying the sunshine on a lounger next to the hotel pool, was quick to rise up and greet his pals with hugs, before Coleen also got up from her sunbathing to say hello.
Earlier in the day, Coleen was seen showing off her trim shape in a small tribal print bikini as she lounged on a bed.
