STOCKHOLM, Sweden - 21-year-old Hanni Beronius has been crowned Miss Universe Sweden 2012! The beauty from Gothenburg will represent Sweden at Miss Universe 2012 in December. 
Hanni Beronius (above) who stands 5'8.5" won the Miss Universe Sweden title in an event held in August 26. The 21 year old beauty will compete at Miss Universe representing a nation which used to be a beauty superpower but changing attitudes with emphasis on feminism allowed the beauty pageant culture to erode. At one point, Sweden did not send a delegate to the Miss Universe with the Pageant Director claiming that there is a decline in public interest over the pageant and that such events run counter to the modern Swedish culture.
