The first ever Miss World Angola contest took place at the Cine Atlantico, in Luanda, on August 24, and the winner was Maria Castelo, who will represent Angola in Miss World 2013, in Indonesia, in September of 2013.MWO has made it clear that it wants exclusive national events to select its candidates. The runner-ups were Claudia Daniela dos Santos and Vanilde Martins.
