She was left heartbroken at the end of 2012 when her boyfriend of two years Sylvain Longchambon called time on their relationship.
And choosing not to wallow in self pity, Jennifer Metcalfe recently enjoyed a trip to Dubai to help get over her ex and more importantly to top up her tan.
The 29-year-old Hollyoaks actress put her enviable bikini body on display as she took to the water at the Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort and Spa.

Joined by her former co-star, Leah Hackett, Jennifer flashed her pearly whites while splashing about in a tiny coral red bikini.
Metcalfe's stunning two-piece, which did well to showcase her taut and toned abdomen, was beautified by turquoise straps held together by golden hooks.
Choosing to wear her ombre hair down, Jennifer completed her beach look with a pair of aviator styled sunglasses and a gold wristwatch.

Jennifer's trip abroad could not have come at a better time as she managed to avoid a potentially awkward run in with Sylvain at last week's National Television Awards.
Longchambon ended his lengthily union with Metcalfe on Christmas Day after revealing that he had feelings for his latest dance partner former Coronation Street star Samia Ghadie.
Opening up about the Frenchman's decision to move on, Jennifer told The Sun On Sunday: 'It's like death. I felt gutted. It was the worst Christmas ever.'

But despite Jennifer's hurt and upset, she has wasted no time getting back out on the field, as she was recently spotted sharing a kiss with Geordie Shore star Greg Lake.
