Actresses in Hollywood are routinely snapped sipping on a coconut water as they leave a yoga class.
But Selena Gomez defied expectations as she paraded a family-sized bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken, after indulging in a shopping spree at trendy label Free People.
Keeping her new-found fashion commitment to a grunge look, the actress stepped out in in ripped jeans, a long-sleeved black knit top, and heavy lace-up boots completely unsuited to the heat-wave conditions in Los Angeles.

The 20-year-old Wizards of Waverly Place actress completed her look with a heavy silver chain around her neck and wore tinted shades as protection from the harsh California sun.
Doing her very best lately to shake of her good-girl Disney image, Selena wore her signature dark locks loose around her shoulders, and carried a couple of bags from bohemian chic clothing retailer Free People.
She was later seen hauling a large bucket of KFC to her car.

Gomez, who has also launched a successful singing career, has been dating Justin Bieber since 2010.
Eighteen-year-old Justin and Selina were this week voted the eighth most powerful celebrity couple, behind the likes of Beyonce and Jay-Z, and Gwen Steffani and Gavin Rossdale.

She is to star in action-thriller The Getaway, alongside Ethan Hawke and Angelina Jolie's famous father Jon Voight.
She is also rumoured to have been cast in rock 'n' roll indie flick Parental Guidance Suggested.
